The UP-DR80 is a digital photo printer which incorporates "Pro Matte" technology. It can print various sizes from 4x8 inch to 8x12 inch size for suitable for an event application.
Choice of Finish: Three surface finishes are selectable from the printer driver: glossy, luster, and ProMatte. ProMatte is especially suited to fine quality portrait prints, thanks to its fingerprint and smudge resistance.

Connectivity to the UP-CR20L: The UP-DR80 can be connected to the UP-CR20L, - Sony's popular Snap Lab desktop photofinishing solution- as an external slave printer*. The UP-DR80 can print on media sizes that the UP-CR20L doesn't support, such as 4 x 8 Photo card, 8 x 10, and 8 x 12 inch. This system allows shop owners to provide customers with various print size options, without having to replace the paper media.
Easy Color Adjustment: The UP-DR80 offers easy color adjustment via its printer driver property. This incorporates a preview image from which you can confirm and adjust images easily.
Gray Balance Adjustment: A gray balance adjustment function allows you to easily select the color that most closely matches your requirements and provides the most suitable tonal range for your application. The UP-DR80 is equipped with two types of gray balance adjustment method. The basic type is the conventional one which is usually incorporated into Sony's digital photo printers. The advanced type is a new method, which allows you to easily select the gray balance for your photos via a ring around chart.
Multi-cut Operation: The flexible UP-DR80 features a multi-cut functionality that allows multiple print sizes to be created from the same print pack. In addition to 203 x 254 mm (8 x 10 inch) and 203 x 305mm (8 x 12 inch) prints, 99 x 203 mm (4 x 8 inch), 128 x 203 mm (5 x 8 inch) and 150 x 203 mm (6 x 8 inch) prints can also be created.
Stylish Design and Compact Size: Designed for high performance in a compact size, the UP-DR80 is light in weight and small in footprint. Superb Print Quality: The UP-DR80 produces photo-quality prints by incorporating Sony's dye sublimation technology, which coats each print with a protective layer that's resistant to light, heat, water, humidity, and fingerprints. This laminating technology helps prolong the life of prints.
Useful Front Operation: The front-loading operation makes it easy to replace paper and ribbon, and allows the UP-DR80 to be used in the tightest of spaces or on a work cart.
